About

ROC Midden Nederland trains its participants with the Positive Health vision. By looking at health differently, they can take control of their own health, and are able to help others (privately or at work) take more control of their health and lifestyle.

The Vitality Lab teaches using the Positive Health model that looks at the concept from a much wider angle than just physical health. Because health is not simply about not being sick, but just as much about directing your energy towards things that make you happy and thus keep you healthy. Both physically and mentally.

ROC was looking to add a digital learning component to the Vitality Lab, which was previously made up of mostly physical components. They landed on Intractive because of the interactive nature of our tool and the wide array of gamification possibilities.

Series of six e-learning modules

Together with Intractive, ROC College created a series of mini-games or micro-learnings to teach visitors/students about the 6 dimensions of Positive Health.

Positive Health is an alternative, innovative view of well-being. Instead of just focusing on not being sick, it’s about actively nurturing your physical, mental, and social health to live a fuller, more vibrant life. Think of it as the difference between simply surviving and truly thriving. It's about making choices that enhance your overall quality of life, from eating nutritious food and staying active, to fostering positive relationships and maintaining a cheerful outlook on life. It’s a holistic approach to health that empowers you to take control of your happiness and well-being.

Interactive was responsible for coming up with the content of the micro-learnings as well as the execution.

Part of the micro-learnings for Vitality Lab are a separate story explaining how it works and two additional stories on Resilience and Autonomy - topics that ROC felt were particularly important to students.

Each micro-learning can be accessed separately by scanning a QR-code on a mini-poster. These mini-posters are scattered throughout the Vitality Lab and it is up to the visitor to collect them all.

EnergyWalk

The second part of the assignment was to design a physical tour as part of the Vitality Lab. The result is a so called Energy Walk, which ties in nicely with the idea of the Vitality Lab. Taking a daily energy walk is a simple yet profoundly effective way to enhance your overall well-being. This habit not only strengthens your body but also clears your mind, offering a quick, effective way to rejuvenate and maintain overall well-being.

This EnergyWalk was designed to stimulate students to take a walk around the block by making the walk more fun with several micro-learnings about Positive Health. The tour was made using map scenes, triggering a mini-game whenever students neared the next GPS point.

Questions and video as part of the Energy Walk.
